وحسن ينمنم ذاك العذارَ

كآثار مسكٍ عليه غَزلْ

Her beauty gently stirs, arousing desire,

Like traces of musk in its delicate coil.

كتابٌ من الحسن توقيعه

من اللَه في خدِّه قد نزلْ

A book of beauty, signed by God's own hand,

Descended to earth, and rested on her cheek.
