1. أتَتنا بليلٍ والنجومُ كأنَّها

    قلادةُ جَزعٍ حُلَّ منها نظامُها

    She came to me at night, and the stars were like

    A necklace whose clasp had come undone, letting the pearls slip from it.

  2. فما برحت حتى حللتُ إزارَها

    وقَبَّلتُها عشراً وقلَّ احتشامُها

    I did not stop until I had undone her sash

    And kissed her ten times, while her modesty diminished.
