أنَّى أكلتَ طَرِيّاً

أردتَ دفع أذاهُ

Whence have you eaten a bird

You wished to ward off its harm

فشربةٌ من نبيذٍ

يبقى قواه قواهُ

So a draught of wine

Its strength remains its strength

فاهنأ بذلك واجعل

نيكَ الرسولِ كِرَاه

Rejoice in that and make

The creed of the messenger abhorrence
