    Or who will make the rugged way easy for its rider?

  2. You were the dispeller of whatever hardship befell; but now—

    you have become unable either to sweeten life or make it wholesome.

  3. Dust is heaped over his beautiful features,

    and over the fresh bloom of his radiant face.
