O eye shed tears other than outpouring

And cry for a rock that cannot suffice you as confidant

Be like an ostrich in the thickets of its exile

Or a shouter in the fronds of date palms, crying out

And cry over one exulting in youth thoughtlessly

When considerations are treated lightly, fickle

And the house of the guest when tempestuous

It throws with deaf crash, swift sinking, crumbling

The orphan's protector when harsh year descends

And in the rowboats anchored, steadfast, not arid
