لا فَشَلٌ فِيَّ وَلا سِقاطُ

لَيسَ أَوانَ يُكرَهُ الخِلاطُ

No failure in me, no downfall,

It's not time that mixing is hated,

بَنو شُرَحبيلَ سِوىً بِساطُ

وَعَنهُمُ ضُبَيعَةُ المِضراطُ

The tribe of Shurahbil, their carpet is equal,

And the shepherd's staff is away from them,

صَمَحمَحٌ مُجَرَّبٌ عَيّاطُ

وَوائِلٌ كَأَنَّهُ مُخاطُ

Determined and tested helper,

And Wa'il is as if he is extending,

يَزِلُّ عَن جَبهَتِهِ الأَمشاطُ

لَقَد مُنوا بِتَيِّحانٍ ساطي

The turbans slip from his forehead,

They have indeed been loyal with helpful Tiyhan,

ثَبتٍ إِذا قيلَ لَهُ يُعاطي

أَخرَجَ حُضراً غَيرَ ذي نِياطِ

Steadfast when told to give,

He brought out settlements without any bundles.
