منايَ من الدنيا على الله زوجة

من البيض حسناء الخلائق والخلق

My desires from this life are with Allah a wife

Beautiful in nature and character, fair complexioned

ودود ولود برّة ذات عفة

تعين تجدي عند متّسع الخرق

Affectionate, fertile, virtuous and chaste

Who aids when times grow difficult

ودار وبستان ورزق موسّع

يصون ويغني عن مكافحة الرزق

And a house, garden and ample provision

That spares me from the struggle for livelihood

وما كلّ هذا معجزا متفاوتاً

على من له السلطان في الغرب والشرق

And all this is not too miraculous or far-fetched

For He who holds sway over East and West
