يصف النساء بعفة وجمال

يعرضن عنه زهادة وملالة

فيظنّهنُ عفائف الأذيال

They spurn him in boredom and disdain

Yet he thinks them to be virtuous ladies

وسل الملاح من الشباب فعندهم

صفة النساء بصحّة وكمال

Ask the clever youths instead for they know

Women's true nature in its completeness

إلا الثقات من النساء فهنّ إن

فتّشت أكبر غاية الآمال

Except for the exceptional women who, if

You search well, are the peak of aspirations
