تفرّق الناس في إتيان ما جهلوا

بين التوهّم والتشبيه عن فرَق

People differ in approaching what they are ignorant of

Between imagining and likening the distinction

وأغفلوا طلبَ المقصود مطلبهُ

بين المحاجر والأجفانِ والحدَق

And they neglected seeking what is sought

Between eyelids, eyes, and pupils
