لا أعدّ العيش ما وقعت

دونه نفسي على خجل

I no longer count that life worth living

لا ولا أعتَدّ من عمري

وقت حاجاتي إلى السفل

Nor do I treasure out of all my life

The days that saw my needs reach utter humbleness.

ليس من عمري ولا أجلي

وقت إشرافي على وجل

Not of my life and days the time

When I looked down because of bashfulness.
