Blame the envious and denounce them often

I say the envious deserve praise

For the envious are proof of wealth

Does one envy anything but the wind?

As the lover and the sentinel are together

So too the envy of the envious accompanies success

Bring forth wealth and ignore the envious, there is no good in them

The death of the envious is distasteful meanness

No good in one who does not envy wealth

Or piety when the day breaks

Does one envy the poor man his villages?

    Or envy anyone their ugliness?

How many envious faces you've preserved

From their evil with gentle mockery

So you pushed them from the bow of the feeble

Like a spine removed with care
