O estrangement, cease your passion and leave passion be,

For lovers, estrangement, it is pleasant, let it be.

What do you want from those whose hearts are sick,

And in their hearts are burning embers, fiercely quick?

The tears flow down their cheeks in streams before,

As if they were the rain pouring down in showers.

Changing in color from passion are their hues,

From how their hearts are scorched till yellowish blues.

Laid low by passion’s woe upon its bridge’s span,

They persevere though patience in them there is none.

Naught but passion have they drunk, till they seem drunk,

For the harshness of what they have faced leaves them sunk.

If not for estrangement barring passion’s path crossed wide,

The lover unto passion would have fully been tied.
