سُبحانَ رَبِّ العُلا ما كانَ أَغفَلَني

عَمّا دَهَتني بِهِ الأَيّامُ وَالزَمَنُ

Glory be to the Lord of the Most High, I was not neglectful

Of what days and times have brought me

مَن لَم يَذُق فُرقَةَ الأَحبابِ ثُمَّ يَرى

آثارَهُم بَعدَهُم لَم يَدرِ ما الحَزَنُ

Whoever did not taste separation from loved ones and then see

Their traces after them, did not know what sorrow is
