وشَادِنٍ قَيْدُ العقولِ وَجْهُهُ
وصُدْغُه سِلْسلةُ الآراءِ
And a young gazelle—his face has fettered minds,
and his temple-lock is a chain for the free.
شَامَتُه حَبَّةُ قلبٍ مذ بَدَتْ
جَنَتْ بها الأحشاء بالسَّوْداءِ
His beauty mark is the heart’s darling to whomever it appears;
because of it, their very innards go mad with black bile.
