كم حِيلةٍ أعْمَلْتُها فلم تُفِدْ

لكنْ دَعَتْنِي للهُدُوِّ والرِّضَا

How many schemes I have tried but to no avail

Yet God calls me to calm and acceptance

إذا مَطايا العَزْمِ أَخْلَتْ بُرْهةً

سَلِّمْ زِمامَها إلى يَدِ الْقَضَا

When the steeds of resolve lose their strength for a while

Surrender their reins into the hands of destiny
