أَكُلَّ صَباحٍ لا يَزالُ يَعودُني
بَنو أُمِّ قِردٍ يَشحَذونَ المَبارِيا
Every morning, do they still return to visit me—
the sons of Umayya, apes sharpening their blades?
مِنَ القَومِ أَفطاسٌ كَأَنَّ أُنوفَهُمُ
أُنوفُ خَنازيرٍ يُراقِبنَ خارِيا
Among the tribe are flat-nosed men, as though their noses
were pigs’ snouts watching someone shit.
