تَقَوَّل أَبا عَمروٍ عَلَيَّ فَلا تَعُد
بِرَمّانَ تَدعو جُندُباً وَالحَناتِما
He fabricated lies against me, Abū ʿAmr—do not repeat it.
At Rammān you summon Jundub and the Ḥanātima.
وَإِنَّكَ إِن تُؤثِر عَلَيَّ اِبنَ يامِنٍ
وَإِخوَتَهُ أوثِر عَلَيكَ العَلاقِما
And if you prefer Ibn Yāmin to me,
and his brothers, I will prefer bitter colocynths to you.
