تَقولُ وَقَد ظَلِلتُ بِعَوفِ سَوءٍ
لَقَد أَمسَيتَ مُنتَفِخَ الضُلوعِ
You say, though in evil's shade I dwell,
That I have grown distended in the ribs,
وَذَلِكَ مِن جَناتي كُلَّ يَومٍ
مِنَ الذُبَحِ المُقَشَّرِ وَالفُروعِ
That proves because of what I get each day
Of peeled and leafless branches for my libs.
