Arise, this light
Salute the virtuous beauties
And bow your forehead reverently
To the sanctified shrines
Adorn the mosques and sanctuaries
And the place of prayers
This is the station of the Mothers
Could you appreciate Mothers?
Do not digress in it or say
Other than perfect rhymes
And when you preach, do not be
Sermons on the land of the young woman
Mention Japan to her, not
Nations of lustful chaos
What did you find from civilization
O my confused brother?
You did not find other than misery
From hardship on the Easterners
Take the Book and Tradition
And the path of the trusted ancestors
And return to the age of perfection
And follow the system of life
This is Allah's Messenger, he did not
Belittle the rights of believing women
Knowledge was a law
For his learned women
They accepted trade and politics
And other affairs
And through his daughters
The ships of rich sciences sailed
Sakina filled the world
And mocked the storytellers
She narrated Hadith and interpreted
The clear verses of the Book
And the civilization of Islam speaks
Of the status of Muslim women
Baghdad is the home of scholar
And residence of the cultured
And Damascus under Umayyad
Mother of eloquent slave girls
And the gardens of Andalus grew
Female composers and poets
I call upon men to see
How the unity of singers
And benefit, how they took
Its causes cooperating
When they saw the glare of men
Arrogance or love of self
And saw the industries and arts
Wasted around them
And righteousness with the rich
Among neglected affairs
They set out to build
Edifices of success
For the righteous women the valleys'
Passion is in the righteous
Allah grew them in
His obedience a good growth
So they came the best that came
Blossom of virtues and traits
It did not suffice to do good
Until they excelled the virtuous
Walking in the path of reward
Profitable traders
Wearing the humility of beggars
And they did not mention the miserable
So their faces and lifestyles
Are veils on the adorned
Egypt renews its glory
With its renewed women
The repulsed by stagnation
As if it is specter of death
Among them are there mummies?
What's between them and mummies?
When they took up our case
They were the best caregivers
They fed it in its cradle
With their pure milk
And preceded teachers
To the schoolmistressed teachers
Breathing in the youths
Spirit of courage and firmness
They fall kissing the wounded
Or hugging the martyr
And they see even in battlefields
Kisses of men forbidden
