سموه عام الكف وهو الذي

يؤخذ من معناه ان قد كفى

They called it the “Year of the Hand”—of Restraint—and it is the one

from whose meaning one gathers: it has already been enough.

ما هو عام الكف لو انصفوا

لكنه بالحق عام القفا

It is no Year of the Hand—of Restraint—had they been fair;

rather, in truth, it is the Year of the Nape.
