وتستوى صحف الصباح عنده
وصحفٌ ظهرن من عام مضى
The morning papers are all the same to him,
As are papers issued a year ago.
تذاكر الدفن التي يكتبها
في الشهر أضعاف تذاكر الدوا
The burial permits that he writes
Each month are many times his prescriptions for medicine.
