هَذِهِ نورُ السَفينَه

هَذِهِ شِبهُ أَمينَه

This is the light of the ship

This is like a trusted one

هَذِهِ صورَتُها مُن

بِئَةٌ عَنها مُبينَه

This is its image from

An environment that is evident

هَذِهِ لُؤلُؤَةٌ عِن

دي لَها مِثلٌ ثَمينَه

This is a precious pearl

That has no equal value

مِن بَناتِ الرومِ لَكِن

لَم تَكُن عِندي مَهينَه

Of the daughters of Rome, but

She was not disgraced with me

أَنا مَن يَترُكُ لِلدَي

يانِ في الدُنيا شُؤونَه

I who leaves the debts

To religion in this world

يا مَلاكَ الفُلكِ لي صِن

وُكِ في تِلكَ المَدينَه

O captain of the ship, protect for me

Your ship in that city

أَنتِ في الفُلكِ بَهاءٌ

وَهوَ في حُلوانَ زينَه

You are in the ship a beauty

And it is in Hull its decoration

ناجِهِ وَاِذكُر لَهُ وَج

دَ أَبيهِ وَحَنينَه

Talk to him and mention to him the presence

Of his father and his longing

وَأَفِدهُ أَنَّني في ال

بَحرِ مُذ دُستُ عَرينَه

And let him know that I have been in the

Sea since I hugged its coast

لَستُ بِالنَفسِ ضَنيناً

وَبِهِ نَفسي ضَنينَه

I am not stingy with myself

And with him my soul is longing

أَسأَلُ الرَحمَنَ يُرعي

كَ وَإِيّاهُ عُيونَه

I ask the Merciful to protect

You and him, his eyes
