The ravens had a king in the evening
And he had a throne in the tallest palm tree
In it was a chair, a pillow and a bed
For the little princes, the heirs
One day, the loyal servant Nudur
Came to him, standing at the safe door
He said "O branch of the righteous kings
You still love the advice of well-wishers
A centipede was circling around the palace
It passed the palace and crept into the roots
So send the ravens to destroy it
Before it traps us in its claws
The sultan laughed at these words
Then he called the good servant closer and said
"I am the lord of the mighty-winged thorn
I am the one with the beak, tamer of winds
I do not look into these matters
I do not see a centipede beneath me"
Then after a year and then a year
A dispute arose between the wind and the palm tree
And the palm tree, its trunk was stronger
So uprooting it was easy for the wind
It fell to the earth like a great hill
The council fell and the throne collapsed
This terrible news shocked the sultan
And he called his valuable servant saying
"Oh Nudur do me a favor, cry out
What do you think the winds have done to us?"
He said "Oh my lord, do not ask Nudur
I do not look into these matters"
