أهدى لنا من قوافيه وحكمته

باكورة الأدب المستكرم النامي

He gave us from his rhymes and wisdom

The first fruits of exalted nascent literature

لا زال في كل سمع من بدائعه

لفظ شريف ومعنى فائق سامى

In every ear still rings the refined words

Of his sublime and lofty meanings
