1. رَضِيَ المُسلِمونَ وَالإِسلامُ

    فَرعَ عُثمانَ دُم فِداكَ الدَوامُ

    The Muslims and Islam were content

    With Uthman whose blood we sacrifice for eternity

  2. كَيفَ نَحصي عَلى عُلاكَ ثَناءُ

    لَكَ مِنكَ الثَناءُ وَالإِكرامُ

    How can we enumerate your virtues in praise

    Praise and honour come from you, to you they return

  3. هَل كَلامُ العِبادِ في الشَمسِ إِلّا

    أَنَّها الشَمسُ لَيسَ فيها كَلامُ

    Do people say anything but that the sun is the sun

    Though it is silent, there is no speech

  4. وَمَكانُ الإِمامِ أَعلى وَلَكِن

    بِأَحاديثِهِ يَتيهُ الأَنامُ

    And the position of the Imam is supreme though

    With his words people lose their way

  5. إيهِ عَبدَ الحَميدِ جَلَّ زَمانٌ

    أَنتَ فيهِ خَليفَةٌ وَإِمامُ

    Oh Abd al-Hamid, time has passed gloriously

    With you as Caliph and Imam

  6. ما رَأَت مِثلَ ذا الَّذي تَبتَني ال

    أَقوامُ مَجداً وَلَن يَرى الأَقوامُ

    A people never saw the likes of this glory that eludes

    Understanding, which people will never see again

  7. دَولَةٌ شادَ رُكنَها أَلفُ عامٍ

    وَمِئاتٌ تُعيدُها أَعوامُ

    An empire established for a thousand years

    And hundreds of years will rebuild

  8. وَأَساسٌ مِن عَهدِ عُثمانَ يُبنى

    في ثَمانٍ وَمِثلُهُنَّ يُقامُ

    On foundations from Uthman's era, constructed

    In eight and likewise sustained

  9. حِكمَةٌ حالَ كُلُّ هَذا التَجَلّي

    دونَها أَن تَنالَها الأَفهامُ

    A wisdom that surpasses all this manifestation

    Before which perceptions cannot reach

  10. يَسأَلُ الناسُ عِندَها الناسَ هَل في الن

    ناسِ ذو المُقلَةِ الَّتي لا تَنامُ

    People will ask is there among people one of insight

    That does not sleep

  11. أَم مِنَ الناسِ بَعدُ مَن قَولُهُ وَح

    يٌ كَريمٌ وَفِعلُهُ إِلهامُ

    Or is there anyone left whose words are generous

    And actions inspired

  12. صَدَقَ الخَلقُ أَنتَ هَذا وَهَذا

    يا عَظيماً ما جازَهُ إِعظامُ

    All people agree, you are that one

    O exalted, no exaltation can match you

  13. شَرَفٌ باذِخٌ وَمُلكٌ كَبيرٌ

    وَيَمينٌ بُسطٌ وَأَمرٌ جِسامُ

    Your nobility and kingdom are great

    Your authority vast, your command supreme

  14. عُمَرٌ أَنتَ بَيدَ أَنَّكَ ظِلٌّ

    لِلبَرايا وَعِصمَةٌ وَسَلامُ

    You are lifetime for people and safety

    And wellbeing and peace

  15. ما تَتَوَّجتَ بِالخِلافَةِ حَتّى

    تُوِّجَ البائِسونَ وَالأَيتامُ

    You were not given the Caliphate until

    The destitute and orphans were crowned

  16. وَسَرى الخِصبُ وَالنَماءُ وَوافى ال

    بِشرُ وَالظِلُّ وَالجَنى وَالغَمامُ

    And prosperity and growth prevailed, promises were fulfilled

    Shade, harvest, clouds and rain arrived

  17. وَتَلَقّى الهِلالَ مِنكَ جَبينٌ

    فيهِ حُسنٌ وَبِالعُفاةِ غَرامُ

    And the crescent welcomed your radiant forehead

    Where beauty and passion reside

  18. فَسَلامٌ عَلَيهُمُ وَعَلَيهِ

    يَومَ حَيَّتهُمُ بِهِ الأَيّامُ

    Peace be upon them and him

    The days of their lives through him found meaning

  19. وَبَدا المُلكُ مُلكُ عُثمانَ مِن عَل

    ياكَ في الذِروَةِ الَّتي لا تُرامُ

    And the kingdom appeared clearly Uthman's kingdom

    From your summit that cannot be contested

  20. يَهرَعُ العَرشُ وَالمُلوكُ إِلَيهِ

    وَبَنو العَصرِ وَالوُلاةُ الفِخامُ

    The Throne and kings hasten to you

    And people of the age and eminent governors

  21. هَكَذا الدَهرُ حالَةٌ ثُمَّ ضِدٌّ

    ما لِحالٍ مَعَ الزَمانِ دَوامُ

    Thus is the nature of time, a state then its opposite

    No state with time endures

  22. وَلَأَنتَ الَّذي رَعَّيتُهُ الأُس

    دُ وَمَسرى ظِلالِها الآجامُ

    You who I sheltered under your forearms' shade

    And the expanse of its shadows' sanctuaries

  23. أُمَّةُ التُركِ وَالعِراقُ وَأَهلو

    هُ وَلُبنانُ وَالرُبى وَالخِيامُ

    The Ottoman nation, Iraq and its people

    Lebanon, the countryside and tents

  24. عالَمٌ لَم يَكُن لِيُنظَم لَولا

    أَنَّكَ السِلمُ وَسطَهُ وَالوِئامُ

    A world that could not have been organized had you not been

    Its pillar and peacemaker

  25. هَذَّبَتهُ السُيوفُ في الدَهرِ وَاليَو

    مَ أَتَمَّت تَهذيبَهُ الأَقلامُ

    It was refined by swords in time and today

    Pens have completed its refinement

  26. أَيَقولونَ سَكرَةٌ لَن تَجَلّى

    وَقُعودٌ مَعَ الهَوى وَقِيامُ

    Do they say intoxication that will not fade

    And remaining with desire and rising?

  27. لَيَذوقُنَّ لِلمُهَلهِلِ صَحواً

    تَشرُفُ الكَأسُ عِندَهُ وَالمُدامُ

    They will taste sobriety with the cups raised

    And wine flowing at their hands

  28. وَضَعَ الشَرقُ في يَدَيكَ يَدَيهِ

    وَأَتَت مِن حُماتِهِ الأَقسامُ

    The East placed its hands in your hands

    And parts of its protective arms came to you

  29. بِالوَلاءِ الَّذي تُريدُ الأَيادي

    وَالوَلاءِ الَّذي يُريدُ المُقامُ

    With the loyalty desired by all

    And the loyalty positions require

  30. غَيرَ غاوٍ أَو خائِنٍ أَو حَسودٍ

    بَرِئَت مِن أولَئِكَ الأَحلامُ

    Without misguidance or treachery or envy

    Those dreams have been dispelled

  31. كَيفَ تُهدى لِما تُشيدُ عُيونٌ

    في الثَرى مِلؤُها حَصىً وَرُغامُ

    How can sight be guided when eyes

    Are filled with pebbles and puss?

  32. مُقَلٌ عانَتِ الظَلامَ طَويلاً

    فَعَماها في أَن يَزولَ الظَلامُ

    Eyes that suffered darkness long

    Were blinded to see the darkness lifted

  33. قَد تَعيشُ النُفوسُ في الضَيمِ حَتّى

    لَتُري الضَيمَ أَنَّها لا تُضامُ

    Souls can live with injustice until

    They see injustice as unassailable

  34. أَيُّها النافِرونَ عودوا إِلَينا

    وَلِجوا البابَ إِنَّهُ الإِسلامُ

    You who turn away, return to us

    And enter the door for it is Islam

  35. غَرَضٌ أَنتُمُ وَفي الدَهرِ سَهمٌ

    يَومَ لا تَدفَعُ السِهامَ السِهامُ

    You are but an arrow in time when

    Arrows cannot ward off arrows

  36. نِمتُمُ ثُمَّ تَطلُبونَ المَعالي

    وَالمَعالي عَلى النِيامِ حَرامُ

    You slept, now you seek glory

    But glory on sleeping is forbidden

  37. شَرُّ عَيشِ الرِجالِ ما كانَ حُلماً

    قَد تُسيغُ المَنِيَّةَ الأَحلامُ

    The worst life for men is that of dreams

    For dreams can make death palatable

  38. وَيَبيتُ الزَمانُ أَندَلُسِيّاً

    ثُمَّ يُضحي وَناسُهُ أَعجامُ

    And time passes an Andalusian night

    Then dawns with people as foreigners

  39. عالِيَ البابِ هَزَّ بابُكَ مِنّا

    فَسَعَينا وَفي النُفوسِ مَرامُ

    You called from your lofty door

    So we hurried with purpose in our souls

  40. وَتَجَلَّيتَ فَاِستَلَمنا كَما لِلنا

    سِ بِالرُكنِ ذي الجَلالِ اِستِلامُ

    You appeared so we surrendered as people do

    To the glorious pillar, prostrating

  41. نَستَميحُ الإِمامَ نَصراً لِمِصرٍ

    مِثلَما يَنصُرُ الحُسامَ الحُسامُ

    We implore the Imam victorious for Egypt

    As sword champions sword

  42. فَلِمِصرٍ وَأَنتَ بِالحُبِّ أَدرى

    بِكَ ياحامِيَ الحِمى اِستِعصامُ

    So for Egypt, you know best with love

    With you, O guardian of sanctuary, protection lies

  43. يَشهَدُ اللَهُ لِلنُفوسِ بِهَذا

    وَكَفانا أَن يَشهَدَ العَلّامُ

    God bears witness to souls in this

    And the knowledge of the All-Knowing suffices

  44. وَإِلى السَيِّدِ الخَليفَةِ نَشكو

    جَورَ دَهرٍ أَحرارُهُ ظُلّامُ

    And to the Master Caliph we complain

    Of the injustice of an era whose freemen are shadows

  45. وَعَدوها لَنا وُعوداً كِباراً

    هَل رَأَيتَ القُرى عَلاها الجَهامُ

    And its promises to us were great

    Did you see what ruin befell the villages?

  46. فَمَلَلنا وَلَم يَكُ الداءُ يَحمي

    أَن تَمَلَّ الأَرواحُ وَالأَجسامُ

    We are weary and the affliction does not abate

    That souls and bodies should tire

  47. يَمنَعُ القَيدُ أَن تَقومَ فَهَل تا

    جٌ فَبِالتاجِ لِلبِلادِ قِيامُ

    Does the fetter prevent rising? For the land is the crown

    So raise your voice for it is Egypt

  48. فَاِرفَعِ الصَوتَ إِنَّها هِيَ مِصرٌ

    وَاِرفَعِ الصَوتَ إِنَّها الأَهرامُ

    Raise your voice for it is the Pyramids

    And rouse Egypt, you were always the best guardian

  49. وَاِرعَ مِصراً وَلَم تَزَل خَيرَ راعٍ

    فَلَها بِالَّذي أَرَتكَ زِمامُ

    So the reins are yours by what you desired

    The most loyalty can do, you have attained

  50. إِنَّ جُهدَ الوَفاءِ ما أَنتَ آتٍ

    فَليَقُم في وَقائِكَ الخُدّامُ

    So let your servants rise to defend you

    And assault those whom time enslaves

  51. وَليَصولوا بِمَن لَهُ الدَهرُ عَبدٌ

    وَلَهُ السَعدُ تابِعٌ وَغُلامُ

    And fortune favours and youth serves

    For the banner they carry is lofty

  52. فَاللِواءُ الَّذي تَلَقَّوا رَفيعٌ

    وَالأُمورُ الَّتي تَوَلَّوا عِظامُ

    And the matters they undertake momentous

    Whoever wants what is right, many champions stand for right

  53. مَن يُرِد حَقَّهُ فَلِلحَقِّ أَنصا

    رٌ كَثيرٌ وَفي الزَمانِ كِرامُ

    And in time there are noble men

    The sleep of truth will not please the transgressor

  54. لا تَروقَنَّ نَومَةُ الحَقِّ لِلبا

    غي فَلِلحَقِّ هَبَّةٌ وَاِنتِقامُ

    To truth belong gifts and vengeance

    Decayed bones have natural graves

  55. إِنَّ لِلوَحشِ وَالعِظامُ مُناها

    لَمَنايا أَسبابُهُنَّ العِظامُ

    Their causes are bones

    Raising the letter Dād to the Suhā will it be accepted?

  56. رافِعَ الضادِ لِلسُها هَل قَبولٌ

    فَيُباهي النُجومَ هَذا النِظامُ

    So this system outshines the stars

    I stood raising Dād in love to you

  57. قامَتِ الضادُ في فَمي لَكَ حُبّاً

    فَهيَ فيهِ تَحِيَّةٌ وَاِبتِسامُ

    It is with it greeting and smile

    In the curves of passion there are traits

  58. إِنَّ في يَلدِزِ الهَوى لَخِلالا

    أَنا صَبٌّ بِلُطفِها مُستَهامُ

    I am drunk on its subtlety, entranced

    It appeared for the best full moon and waned

  59. قَد تَجَلَّت لِخَيرِ بَدرٍ أَقَلَّت

    في كَمالٍ بَدَت لَهُ أَعلامُ

    Revealing signs of perfection

    So adhere always to completeness, O moon

  60. فَاِلزَمِ التَمَّ أَيُّها البَدرُ دَوماً

    وَاِلزَمِ البَدرَ أَيُّهَذا التَمامُ

    And you, completeness, adhere to the moon.
