سلام الله لا أرضى سلامي

فكل تحية دون المقام

I do not accept any greeting of peace

For no salutation equals this position

وعين من رسول الله ترعى

وتحرس حامل الأمر الجُسام

The eyes of the Messenger of Allah watch over

And guard the bearer of mighty command

وتنَجد مقلة في الله يقظى

وتخلفها على أمم نيام

And aid the devoted one who stays awake for Allah

Leaving behind nations asleep

تقلَّب في ليال من خطوب

تركن المسلمين بلا سلام

Turning in nights full of calamities

That left the Muslims without peace

ومن عجبٍ قيامك في الليالي

وأنت الشمس في نظر الأنام

How strange is your rising during the nights

When you are the sun in people's eyes

أحب خليفة الرحمن جهدي

وحب الله في حب الإمام

I love the effort of the Caliph of the Merciful

And the love of Allah in loving the Imam

وأجعل عصره عنوان شعري

وحسن العقد يظهر في النظام

And I make his era the title of my poetry

And goodness of composition appears in the system

فإن نفت الموانع فيه حظى

فليس بفائت حظ الكلام

If obstacles negate fortune in it

It is not missed fortune of speech

وقد يُرعى الغمام الأرض أذنا

وأين الأرض من سمع الغمام

And the clouds may watch over the earth

But where is the earth to the hearing of clouds
