تشكو الخصور من الصدور تحاملا

والذنب محمول على الأرداف

The birds complain of the trees' oppression

Yet the blame is carried by the branches

هذى تؤازرها وتلك تهينها

فتضيع بين الرفق والإجحاف

One supports it, another insults it

So it is lost between kindness and injustice
