O Damanhour, watch out for their procession

Keeping a wakeful eye on the matter

And prepare, gather the people of the villages

Not caring for the estranged hearts

And let the trumpets' voice excite

The people of Aswan and Cairo's inhabitants

For at El-Khazna are some of its people

With troubles in Egypt now flaring

They alarmed him and gathered around

    A clamor hurting pure souls

The people will say: evident victory

    And troops of ours prevailing

Tales of applause vary amongst them

    And stories of bustling crowds

O Damanhour, describe to me their day

It is the day of stumbling ancestors

Do not think the matter long-lasting

And be patient until the cycle turns

The most foolish of people in life are those

Who remember the past but forget the future
