1. مَرحباً بالأحبَّةِ المُقبلينا

    أطفِئُوا شَوقَكم وقَضُّوا الحنينا

    Welcome beloved ones who have come

    Quench your longing and fulfill your yearning

  2. أذِنَ اللَّهُ باللقاءِ وكانتْ

    لوعةً للفِراقِ دَامتْ سِنينا

    God has permitted this meeting after

    Sorrowful separation that lasted for years

  3. إنّ هَذِي دِياركُم فادخلوها

    طَيِّباتٍ لمعشرٍ طيّبينا

    This is your homeland, enter it

    Good tidings for the righteous folk

  4. ادخلوها بنعمةٍ وسلامٍ

    وَاعْمرُوها بأهلِكم والبنينا

    Enter with grace and peace

    And dwell in it with family and children

  5. أقبلوا أقبلوا وَحيُّوا رسولَ ال

    لَهِ مُستبشراً يَمدُّ اليمينا

    Come, come and greet the Messenger of God

    Who extends his right hand in glad tiding

  6. صَافحوهُ مُحبَّبَ الوجهِ سَمْحاً

    والزموهُ مُباركاً مَيمونا

    Greet his beautiful, serene face

    And join the blessed, auspicious one

  7. وانظروا حوله الجنودَ أُلوفاً

    بعد أن لم تكنْ تُدانِي المئينا

    Look around him, thousands of troops

    After there were scarcely a few tens

  8. واذكروا خطبَكم وكيفَ ذَهْبتُمْ

    خِيفةَ الضَّيْمِ في البلادِ عِزينا

    Remember your sermons and how you went

    In fear of injustice in the honored lands

  9. تركبونَ العُبابَ يأخذُه الكِبْ

    رُ فيأبَى عِنَانُه أن يَلينا

    You rode the ships taken by the huge

    Waves, its reins refusing to bend

  10. يَضربُ الموجُ في جوانبِهِ المو

    جَ وتُزجِي السَّفينُ فيه السَّفينا

    The waves batter its sides

    And ships collide into one another

  11. اتَّخذتم أرضَ النجاشيِّ داراً

    وتَركتُمْ دِيارَكم والقَطينا

    You took the land of Negus as home

    And left your lands and kith and kin

  12. مَلِكٌ عادلٌ أقامَ عليكم

    من كريمِ الجوارِ حِصْناً حَصينا

    A just king gave you refuge

    Like an impenetrable, lofty fortress

  13. وَرَعاكم رَعْيَ الحفيِّ يُؤّدي

    حقَّ أضيافهِ وَفِيّاً أمينا

    He tended you with care, fulfilling

    His duty to guests, honest and loyal

  14. وَجَدَ العارَ في هَدِيَّةِ عمروٍ

    فأباها وَردَّ عَمْراً حزينا

    He found shame in Amr's gift

    And sent Amr back, sad and dejected

  15. قال يا ويلتا أأهدمُ مَجدِي

    وأُعادِي أبُوَّتي الأَوَّلينا

    Saying: Woe to me! Should I forfeit my glory

    And oppose my ancestral noble ways?

  16. أأبيعُ الضُّيوفَ يا عمروُ دَعْها

    خُطّةً تجعلُ العزيزَ مَهِينا

    Should I, O Amr, sell the guests? Let it be!

    A disgrace that makes the honored disgraced

  17. إنها سُبَّةٌ على الدهرِ يَأبَى

    كلُّ حُرٍّ مُهذَّبٍ أن تكونا

    It is an outrage on time, every free

    Well-bred soul refuses it to exist

  18. راعه جعفرٌ بقولٍ مُبينٍ

    فرأى الحقَّ واضحاً واليقينا

    Ja'far refuted him with clear words

    Seeing the truth and certainty plainly

  19. وَدَرى أنَما السُّجودُ لغيرِ ال

    لَهِ إثمٌ يَحيقُ بالسّاجدينا

    Realizing that bowing to other than God

    Is a sin encompassing the prostrators

  20. وَاهْتَدى قَلبُه فآثَرَ دِينَ ال

    حقِّ في مجمعِ القَساوسِ دِينا

    His heart found guidance, preferring the religion

    Of truth among the assembly of priests as faith

  21. دَلَفَ القومُ بالمصاحفِ لا يَدْ

    رُونَ ماذا يُريدُ أن يَسْتَبينا

    The people came with scriptures, not knowing

    What he wanted to clarify and explain

  22. قال ما عندَكم أما قال عِيسَى

    سوفَ يأتي مِن بعدهِ من يلينا

    He said: Does it not say, Jesus announced

    One will come after him leading us?

  23. بَطَلَ الشِّركُ وانتهى الإفكُ هذا

    خاتمُ الأنبياءِ والمرسلينا

    Polytheism is invalidated, falsehood is ended

    This is the seal of prophets and messengers

  24. كيف نَأبَى مُحمّداً وَهْوَ حقٌّ

    أيقولُ الهُداةُ إنّا عَمِينا

    How can we refuse Muhammad when he is truth?

    Can the guided say: We are blind?

  25. رَبِّ إنّي آمنتُ فاغفِرْ ذنوبي

    وَاهْدِني في عبادِكَ المؤمنينا

    O Lord, I believe, forgive my sins

    And guide me among Your faithful servants

  26. هكذا فاز بالكرامةِ حزبُ ال

    لَهِ طوبَى لِحزبهِ المفلحينا

    Thus the party of God attained honor

    Felicity upon his successful party

  27. اُدْنُ يا جعفرٌ لك الرتَبُ العل

    يا وكنتَ أمرأً بهن قَمِينا

    Come O Ja'far, the highest ranks are yours

    You were a revered man, steadfast

  28. وَخُذِ القُبلةَ التي هِيَ أَقْصَى

    ما تُرجِّيهِ أنْفُسُ المتَّقينا

    Take the direction of prayer which

    Is the utmost longing of the pious

  29. اُدنُ يا أشبهَ الرجالِ بأعلى ال

    ناسِ قَدْراً وخيرهم أجمعينا

    Come O most noble of men in rank

    And best of them in virtue altogether

  30. ولك العذرُ إن رقصتَ فَهذِي

    نَشوةُ الحبِّ تأخُذُ المُخلِصينا

    You are excused if you dance, for this

    Is the ecstasy of love seizing the devoted

  31. نادِ يا شاعرَ العُروبةِ واهتفْ

    مرحباً بالأماجدِ الأكرمينا

    Call out, O poet of Arabism, and chant

    Welcome to the most honored glories

  32. هذه خيبرُ العصيّةُ دَانَتْ

    لِسيوفِ البواسلِ الفاتحينا

    This is defiant Khaybar, it has surrendered

    To the swords of the brave conquerors

  33. نَصَر اللَّهُ جُندَهُ وحَباهُ

    في لواءِ النبيِّ فَتْحاً مُبينا

    God granted victory to His soldiers

    And gifted them clear conquest under the Prophet's banner

  34. فَخُذوا حقَّكم هَنيئاً مَرِيئاً

    واشكروا اللَّهَ أكرمَ المُنعِمينا

    So take your rightful share, pleasant and wholesome

    And thank God, the Most Generous of benefactors
