1. أَهابَ الحقُّ فاسْتَبِقوا كِراما

    وَهُزُّوا الأرضَ بأساً واعْتزاما

    The truth has appeared, so hasten to virtue

    And shake the earth with strength and resolve

  2. كَفَى بِكتابكم يا قومُ نُوراً

    فَشُقُّوا السُّبْلَ واخْتَرِقوا الظَّلاما

    Your book is enough light, O people

    So split the roads and pierce through the darkness

  3. كتابُ اللهِ لولا أن هدانا

    لما وَضحَ السّبيلُ ولا اسْتَقاما

    Were it not for God's guidance through the Quran

    The path would not be clear, nor straight

  4. عَرَفْتُمْ حَقَّهُ فَرعَيْتُمُوهُ

    وكنتم خيرَ مَن حَفِظَ الذِّماما

    You recognized its right, so you observed it

    And were the best people to uphold the covenant

  5. بِنعمةِ ربّكم قُمتُمْ عليهِ

    وقام رَسولُه فيكم إماما

    By your Lord's grace you stood by it

    With His messenger among you as imam

  6. وذلك وَعدُهُ لا رَيْبَ فيهِ

    يُبشِّرُ من يُريدُ له الدّواما

    That is His promise, no doubt in it

    Giving good news to those wanting eternity

  7. نِظامُ الدّينِ والدُّنيا وماذا

    يكونُ النّاسُ إنْ فَقَدوا النّظاما

    The system of religion and life, what would

    People be if they lost the system?

  8. وما نَفْعُ الحياةِ لِكلّ حَيٍّ

    إذا ما أصبحت داءً عَقاما

    What use is life for any living

    If it becomes a chronic disease?

  9. أَيعرفُ مَوْضِعَ الأحياءِ قومٌ

    أَحَبّوا الموتَ واخْتاروا الحِماما

    Do people who love death know

    The place of the living? They chose annihilation

  10. تَولَّوْا ما رَعَوا للهِ حَقّاً

    ولا عَرفوا الحلالَ ولا الحراما

    They failed to observe what was due to God

    Not knowing the lawful from the banned

  11. إذا هَمُّوا بِفاحشةٍ تَرامَوْا

    كأسرابِ الوُحوشِ إذا ترامى

    When they intend immorality they fling

    Like packs of beasts when they collide

  12. يُمزِّقُ بَعضُهم في الأرضِ بعضاً

    ويَفْرِي اللحمَ منه والعِظاما

    Tearing each other apart on earth

    Ripping flesh from bone

  13. ويأبى العدلَ أَكثرُهم جُنوداً

    فلا عَتْباً يَخافُ ولا مَلاما

    Most of them refuse justice as soldiers

    Fearing no blame or rebuke

  14. يُغَنِّي والدِّماءُ له شرَابٌ

    على نَوْحِ الأراملِ واليَتامَى

    He sings while blood is his drink

    At the wailing of widows and orphans

  15. وَيمْشِي يَجعلُ الأشلاءَ جِسراً

    لِيَبْلُغَ مِن بني الدّنيا مَراما

    Walking over corpses as a bridge

    To attain what he wants in life

  16. يَودُّ لوِ اسْتَقلَّ بكلِّ شَعبٍ

    على الغبراءِ يَجعلهُ طعاما

    He wishes he could conquer every clan

    Turning the innocent into his food

  17. شريعةُ ظالمينَ تَسيلُ آناً

    دماً وتفيضُ آونةً ضراما

    The law of oppressors flows at times

    With blood, and at times with pus

  18. أتَى بِكتابِها مِنهم رسولٌ

    طَوَى الأقطارَ يلتهمُ الأَناما

    A messenger came with their scripture

    Traveling horizons, devouring mankind

  19. فراعينُ الحضارةِ لَيْتَ أنّا

    بُلينا بالفراعين القُدامَى

    O farmers of civilization, if only

    We were watered by farmers of old

  20. أليسَ العلمُ كان لنا حياةً

    فصارَ بِظُلمِهم موتاً زُؤاما

    Was knowledge not life for us

    Now by their injustice it is grievous death?

  21. يَجَرُّ وَراءَهُ نُوَباً ثِقالاً

    نُراعَ لها وأهوالاً جساما

    It drags heavy shame behind it

    We are warned of its horrors

  22. يُرِينا كيفَ يَقذِفُ بالمنايا

    كَموجِ البحرِ تَزْدَحِمُ ازْدِحاما

    It shows us how it hurls calamities

    Like waves of the sea, overcrowded

  23. لها صُورٌ يَروحُ بها ويغدو

    طِوالَ الدّهرِ صَبَّاً مُسْتَهاما

    It takes on forms, wandering night and day

    Always roaming restlessly

  24. يَعدُّ العبقريَّةَ أن يراها

    تُغادِرُ هذه الدُّنيا حُطاما

    It counts genius as nothing

    When it leaves this world in ruin

  25. إذا اتَّخذَ القويُّ الظُّلمَ دِيناً

    فأشقى النّاسَ مَن يُلْقِي الزّماما

    When the strong take injustice as religion

    Most wretched are those left with the reins

  26. هو الإسلامُ ما للنّاسِ واقٍ

    سِواهُ فأين يَذهبُ من تَعامى

    It is Islam - what else protects people?

    Where can one who ignores it go?

  27. يَذودُ عنِ الضَّعيفِ فَيتَّقِيهِ

    مِنَ الأقوامِ أَنْفَذُهم سِهاما

    It defends the weak, so the bravest

    Of men fear it and its arrows

  28. يَلوذُ بهِ إذا ما خَافَ ضَيْماً

    فينصرهُ ويمنعُ أن يُضاما

    In it those fearing harm take refuge

    It brings them victory and prevents their abuse

  29. لِكُلٍّ حَقُّهُ وَلِمَنْ تَعدَّى

    جَزاءُ البَغْيِ مَقضِيَّاً لِزاما

    To each their right, and for transgressors

    Retribution is necessitated, binding

  30. كَفَى بكتابِكم يا قومُ طِبّاً

    لِمَنْ يشكو من الأُمَمِ السَّقاما

    Your book is enough purity, O people

    For whom the nations' contagion laments

  31. كِتابٌ يَملأُ الدنيا حَياةً

    ويَنْشُرُ في جَوانِبها السَّلاما

    A book that fills the world with life

    And spreads tranquility through its corners

  32. أقيموا الحقَّ بالسُّوَرِ الغَواليِ

    فإنّ اللهَ يأمرُ أن يُقاما

    Uphold truth by its mighty chapters

    For God commands that it be upheld

  33. وأَوْصُوا المسلمينَ بها فإنّي

    أَراهُمْ عَن ذَخائِرها نِياما

    Advise Muslims of it, for I see them

    Oblivious of its treasures

  34. وليس لِغافلٍ عَنها نَصيبٌ

    مِنَ الحُسْنَى وإن صَلَّى وَصَاما

    No heedless person has a share in goodness

    Even if he prays and fasts

  35. تَعَالى الله أَنزلَها عَلينا

    عِظاماً تَبعثُ الهِمَمَ العِظاما

    Exalted is God who revealed it to us

    Mighty chapters giving life to ambitions

  36. نَرَى في كلِّ ما نَعتادُ منها

    إماماً عادلاً وفتىً هُماما

    In all we uphold from it we see

    A just imam and noble hero

  37. نَرَى أمَماً مِنَ العِقبانِ تَمضِي

    إلى الغاياتِ تخترقُ الغَماما

    We see nations of eagles journeying

    To the heights, piercing through clouds

  38. نَرَى مَعْنَى الحَياةِ وكيفَ تَسمو

    فَتحتلُّ الذُّؤابةَ والسَّناما

    We see the meaning of life and how it ascends

    To assume leadership and the banner

  39. نَرَى الدُّنيا العَريضةَ عِنْدَ دِينٍ

    تَزيدُ بِرُكنِهِ العَالي اعْتِصاما

    We see the vast world, stable in religion

    Growing stronger by its lofty pillar

  40. هِيَ الأخلاقُ طَيِّبَةً حِساناً

    نُقِيمُ بها مِنَ المُلكِ الدِّعاما

    These are good, beautiful morals

    With which we establish pillars of the kingdom

  41. عَليْها فَارْفَعوا البُنيانَ حتّى

    أَرَى بُنايانَكم بَلَغ التَّماما

    Raise this structure high, until

    I see your building complete
