1. أَنّا بَنو عُثمانَ أَعلامُ الوَرى

    وَالأَرضُ تَشرُفُ فَوقَها الأُعلامُ

    We are the sons of Uthman, the banners of the world,

    And over the land the banners rise high.

  2. إِنّا السَنامُ إِذا الأَنامُ تَفاخَرَت

    وَالناسُ فيهم مَنسِمٌ وَسَنامُ

    We are the emblem when people take pride,

    And among people some are marked and some are emblems.

  3. إِنّا يسوسُ أُمورَنا وَيُقيمُها

    ملكٌ بِأَمرِ إِلههِ قَوّامُ

    Our affairs are governed and kept upright,

    By a king at the command of his mighty God.

  4. رَحبُ الذراعِ كَفى الَّذي نُعنى بِهِ

    رَأيٌ لَهُ في المُشكلاتِ حُسامُ

    Broad of arm, his capability we care for,

    His view in dilemmas is a sharp sword.

  5. عَبدُ الحَميد أَتاحَ في أَيّامِهِ

    لِلملكِ ما ذهبت بِهِ الأَيّامُ

    Abdul Hamid enabled in his days,

    For the king what days had taken away.

  6. لَولا حَزامتُه وَشدّةُ بَأسِهِ

    وَمَضاؤُهُ لَتضعضعَ الإِسلامُ

    Had it not been for his ferocity and might,

    And his flames, Islam would have crumbled.

  7. ما زالَ يَحمِي حَوضَهُ مُذ جاءَهُ

    وَكَذاك يَحمي غيلَهُ الضِّرغامُ

    He still protects his basin as he came to it,

    As the intense darkness protects its darkness.

  8. مَلِكٌ يَقومُ اللَيلَ يَنظر في غَدٍ

    ماذا يُسدِّدُ وَالمُلوكُ نِيامُ

    A king who stays up at night, looking to the morrow,

    What he will set right while kings are sleeping.

  9. مَنَعَ الخِلافةَ أَن تُنالَ صرُوحُها

    حَتّى تَحامَت سُوحَها الأَوهامُ

    He prevented the caliphate, its castles,

    Until its plateaus confused imaginations.

  10. جَدعاً لِأَنفِ معاشرٍ منّتهمو

    بِالمُلكِ ما مَنَّتهمُ الأَحلامُ

    Staunchly, to the noses of a group who prided themselves,

    With the kingdom what dreams had not prided them with.

  11. وَلَقد دَرى اليُونانُ أَنّا مَعشرٌ

    في الرَوعِ ضرّابو الكُماةِ كِرامُ

    The Greeks knew well that we are a folk,

    Valiant with spears, striking with swords.

  12. بيضُ الوُجوه إِذا الكَريهةُ كشّرت

    وَسما لَها تَحت الحَديدِ ضِرامُ

    White of face when the ugly one snarled,

    And destiny marked it with iron under the skin.

  13. نَسطو وَنَبطش قادرين أَعزّةً

    تَشكو السُيوفُ ضِرابَنا وَالهامُ

    We conquer and vanquish the honored and mighty,

    The swords complain of our striking and determination.

  14. نَهفو وَتثبت رُجّحاً أَحلامُنا

    وَتَظلُّ تَهفو منهمُ الأَحلامُ

    We roar and our dreams prove true,

    While their dreams about us keep wishing.

  15. وَارحمتا للرُومِ أَبقَينا بِهم

    جُرحاً مَدى الأَيّامِ لا يَلتامُ

    And it was mercy for Rome we left them,

    A wound the length of days does not mend.

  16. إِنّا لَنمنعُ أَن يُضامَ حَريمُنا

    وَنُزلزلُ الأَرضين حينَ يُضامُ

    We will indeed prevent violation of our sanctity,

    And shake the lands when it is violated.

  17. دُم يا أَميرَ المُؤمنين فَما لِمَن

    عاداكَ بَينَ العالمين دَوامُ

    Continue, O Commander of the Faithful, for what

    Remains for those who opposed you in both worlds?

  18. لا زلتَ يا رُكنَ الخلافَةِ شامِخاً

    تَعنو لَك الأَعرابُ وَالأَعجامُ

    You still stand, O pillar of the caliphate, towering,

    Nomads and settled folk chant your glory.
