1. نادِ القبورَ وبَشِّرْ كلَّ مقبورِ

    حُمَّ النُّشورُ وحانت نَفخةُ الصُّورِ

    Call the graves and give glad tidings to all buried

    The time of resurrection has come and the trumpet is blown

  2. قُلْ للمشارقِ كرَّ الدَّهرُ كرَّتَهُ

    وهبَّ للثأرِ فيه كلُّ مَوْتورِ

    Tell the East, time has completed its circuit

    And for revenge in it, every wounded arose

  3. ضُمِّي الجِراحَ وقُومي غيرَ هائبةٍ

    فلن يروعَكِ ذو ضِغْنٍ بمحذورِ

    Wipe your wounds and stand undaunted

    So no oppressor will frighten you with harm

  4. إن تَنهضي اليومَ يَفزعْ كلُّ مُرْتَبئٍ

    ويَنتفِضْ كلُّ ذي نابٍ وأُظفورِ

    If you rise today, every lurking one will panic

    And every one with fangs and claws will shudder

  5. هي الحياةُ فَخُوضي النَّقعَ واقتحِمي

    أهوالَ كلِّ مَرُوعِ السّاحِ مذعورِ

    It's life, so plunge into the battlefield and daringly storm

    The terrors of every frightened and defeated warrior

  6. جُنَّتْ نواحيهِ مما أحدثتْ أُمَمٌ

    تَنثالُ من جازرٍ يطغى ومجزورِ

    Its regions have been disturbed by what nations did

    Shedding blood, transgressing and slaughtering

  7. مِنَ الأناسيِّ إلا أنّها مَرَدتْ

    فالجنُّ تَنظرُ من ساهٍ ومسحورِ

    Except that they have rebelled

    So jinn are watching from a desolate and enchanted land

  8. القُوّةُ الحكمُ لا عدلٌ بِمُتَّبَعٍ

    في الحاكِمينَ ولا ظُلمٌ بمحظورِ

    Power is the rule, not justice in rulers

    Nor injustice in the forbidden

  9. شريعة السّيفِ يُمضيها جَبابرةٌ

    من كلِّ مُستهزِئٍ بالله مغرورِ

    The law of the sword, tyrants execute

    Of every mocker of God, arrogant

  10. أَمَا ترى الدَّمَ يجرِي في مَخَالبِهم

    على الشرائعِ يمحو كُلَّ مَسْطورِ

    Don't you see blood flowing in their claws

    Erasing all that was written of laws

  11. ضَجَّ الحريبُ فقالوا هَزَّهُ طربٌ

    وهَاجَهُ العهدُ مِن عِلمٍ ومن نُورِ

    The war cry was raised, so they said it was shaken by joy

    And the era was churned, of knowledge and light

  12. وَيْحَ العقولِ رُمينا من غَباوتها

    بدولةٍ من بقايا الوهمِ والزُّورِ

    Woe to the minds, we were cast from their ignorance

    Into a state of superstition and falsehood's remains

  13. النَّعشُ يغدو عليه كلُّ مُغْتبِطٍ

    والقبرُ يمرحُ فيهِ كلُّ مسرورِ

    The bier comes with every cheerful one

    And the grave is filled with all the happy

  14. هي الحضارةُ تجلو كُلَّ مُلْتَبِسٍ

    من الأُمورِ وتُبدِي كلَّ مستورِ

    It's civilization, clarifying all confusion

    Of matters, revealing all hidden

  15. الحقُّ من تُرَّهَاتِ الصائحين بهِ

    والعدلُ فيما ترى آمالُ مقهورِ

    Truth from the ranting of proclaimers

    And justice in what you see of hopes crushed

  16. والعذرُ للفاتكِ العادِي فإنْ جَزِعَتْ

    نَفْسُ المُروَّعِ أَمَسْى غَيرَ معذورِ

    And excuse for the habitual killer, for if

    The soul of the terrified despaired, he's not blamed

  17. والنَّفْيُ والقتلُ والتعذيبُ مَرْحَمَةٌ

    مأثورةٌ وصَنيعٌ غَيرُ مكفورِ

    Banishment, murder and torture are well-known mercy

    And unrewarded work

  18. لا أمّةٌ ذاتُ تاريخٍ ولا وَطَنٌ

    كلٌّ هَباءٌ وشيءٌ غيرُ مذكورِ

    No nation with history or homeland

    All are nonsense and unmentioned

  19. والجهلُ أنفعُ ما تَرْقَى الشُّعوبُ بهِ

    والذُّلُّ أسمى الأمانِي للجماهيرِ

    And ignorance is most beneficial for nations to rise by

    And humiliation is the highest hopes of the masses

  20. وليس للمرءِ من مالٍ ولا وَلَدٍ

    إلا على خَطَرٍ أو رَهْنَ تدميرِ

    Man owns not wealth or child

    Except at risk or hostage of destruction

  21. لا يملكُ النّفسَ إلا أن يُؤخِرَها

    مَنْ أمرُه الأَمْرُ في أخذٍ وتَأْخيرِ

    Only He who ordains can delay him

    The ordainer of taking and delaying

  22. تلك الحياةُ فَقُلْ للآمرين بها

    قَوْلَ الرَّسولِ رُوَيْداً بالقوارير

    That's life, so say to those commanding it

    The words of the Messenger "Gently with the pottery"

  23. قالوا الحمايةُ عن أعناقِكم وُضِعَتْ

    فليس مَطويُّها يوماً بِمنْشورِ

    They said "Protection over your necks has been placed"

    So its sheath will not one day be drawn

  24. فاسْتَبشرِوُا اليومَ باسْتقلالِكُم وخُذوا

    حقَّ البلادِ جميعاً غَيْرَ مَبْتُورِ

    Today rejoice in your independence and take

    The nation's right, completely unmaimed

  25. وغايةُ الجودِ بَيْنَ الناسِ أَنْ يَجِدوا

    صَيْدَ النُّسورِ طعاماً للعصافيرِ

    The utmost generosity between people is to let

    The prey of eagles be food for sparrows

  26. روايةٌ وخَيَالاتٌ مُنَمَّقَةٌ

    تُصَاغُ مِن دار نُوّابٍ ودُستورِ

    A novel and ornate imaginings

    Fabricated in the parliament and constitution

  27. ماذا لنا وحياةُ النّيلِ في يدكم

    والأَمرُ أَجْمعُ من نَقْضٍ وتقريرِ

    What is it to us, the Nile's life is in your hands?

    And the matter altogether is nullifying and confirming

  28. دَعُوا المِزاحَ فَإنَّا أُمّةٌ صَدَقَتْ

    لا تطلبوا الأمرَ أمسى غيرَ ميسورِ

    Leave joking, we are a nation that has been truthful

    Do not seek authority, it has become unattainable

  29. إنَّ المشارِقَ هَبَّتْ بعد هَجعَتِها

    تطوِي الجِواءَ وتلوِي بالأعاصيرِ

    The East rose after its slumber

    Rolling up the horizon and twisting in storms

  30. ترمي النُّسورَ فتهوِي عن مَعاقِلها

    في السُّحبِ من جبلٍ عالٍ ومن سُورِ

    Hurling eagles, so they swooped from their fortresses

    In the clouds, from a high mountain and wall

  31. أَوْفَتْ على الأُفُقِ المُسْوَدِّ فانْصدَعَتْ

    سُودُ الغياهبِ عنه والدّياجيرِ

    Covering the darkened horizon, rupturing

    The darkness' gloom, revealing the bright dawn

  32. أَثارها الفاتحُ الغازي وأرْسَلَها

    مِلْءَ الدُّنَى والمنايا والمقاديرِ

    Its conqueror unleashed them and sent them

    Filling the world with death and fate

  33. تَجيشُ في كلّ مُسْتَنٍّ ومُنْسربٍ

    والبأسُ يُصْرخُ في آثارها سِيري

    Raiding every valley and hill

    And war crying in their traces, "March!"

  34. سِيري مُشَمِّرةً لا تبتغِي دَعَةً

    فالسّيفُ خَلْفَكِ ذو جِدٍّ وتشميرِ

    March unswervingly, seeking no rest

    With a sword behind you, serious and resolute

  35. والحقُّ ليس بناجٍ في جلالتِه

    إلا إذا لاَذَ بالبيضِ المآثيرِ

    Truth unaided in its majesty

    Except when aided by drawing of blades

  36. هيَ الدّواءُ لِداءِ البَغْيِ يَنْزَعُهُ

    من النّفوسِ ويشفي كلَّ مصدورِ

    It's the cure to remove tyranny's disease

    From souls and heal all discontent

  37. إنّ السياسةَ لِلأقوامِ مَهْلكةٌ

    فلا يَغُرَّنْكَ منها طولُ تَغْريرِ

    Politics surely destroys nations

    So do not be fooled by its prolonged deceiving

  38. إذا تَداوَى بها المغلوبُ طَاحَ بهِ

    كَيدُ الأُساةِ وتضليلُ العقاقيرِ

    If the defeated seek remedy through it, they fall

    To the cunning of evildoers and misleading of potions

  39. تطوِي الممالكَ في الأكفانِ من ذهبٍ

    جَمِّ التهاويلِ فتّانِ التّصاويرِ

    It shrouds kingdoms in golden shrouds

    The beautiful imaginations of painters

  40. ترى التّوابيتَ تُزْجَى في مخالِبها

    بَينْ المَعَازفِ شتَّى والمزاميرِ

    You see the coffins paraded in its claws

    Amidst diverse musical bands

  41. مواكبُ الشّرقِ لا قامت مَواكِبُهُ

    إلا على كبَّةِ الشُّمِّ المغاويرِ

    The East's processions did not stand

    Except on the corpses of brave raiders

  42. القائمينَ بحقّ السّيفِ ما ظَلَمُوا

    يوماً ولا عَابَهُمْ خَصْمٌ بتقصيرِ

    Those ruling by the sword's right never oppressed

    Nor were rebuked by an adversary for negligence

  43. لا يَطعمُ الضرَّبَ إلا حين يَجْمَعُهُم

    يَوْمٌ يُبَرِّحُ بالجُرْدِ المحاضيرِ

    The sword only brings together the struck

    On a day separating hosts and mobilizing riders

  44. مِن كلّ مُنذلِقِ الغاراتِ يُوطِئُها

    أعقابَ كُلِّ حَثيثِ الرّكضِ مدحورِ

    From every audacious raider trampling them

    The heels of every swift runner defeated

  45. تَسْتَرعِفُ الحربُ منه حَدَّ مُنصَلتٍ

    طَبِّ المضاربِ بالأعناقِ مطرورِ

    War is too proud to beg from him, though swords' points

    Yearn for necks to pierce and bodies to twist

  46. إذا الصفُّوف على راياتِه الْتَحَمَتْ

    تكشَّفتْ عن عزيزِ البأسِ منصورِ

    When ranks unite under his banners

    The mighty warrior victorious is revealed

  47. لا يتَّقي الرَّوعَ إن صَاحَ النذيرُ ولا

    يُلقي إلى السّيفِ يوماً بالمعاذيرِ

    Fearing no commotion when the warner cries out

    Nor resorting to the sword with excuses on a day

  48. يَرَى الخلافةَ عِرضاً والهلالَ دماً

    ومَجْدَ عُثمانَ ديناً جِدَّ موفورِ

    Seeing the caliphate a duty and the crescent blood

    And Uthman's glory a true abundant faith

  49. ولا يَعُدُّ حياةَ الشّعبِ مَسْكنةً

    في مَحْصَدِ القَيْدِ أو في مُحْكمِ النِّيرِ

    Not counting the people's lives hardship

    In the reaping of shackles or tightening of reins

  50. إنّ الذي خَلَقَ الإنسانَ حَرَّرَهُ

    فَلَنْ يَدينَ بِرِقٍّ بعدَ تحريرِ

    He who created man, freed him

    So he will not again be bound in chains after freedom

  51. الدّينُ والعقلُ لا يُعطِي مَقادَتَهُ

    سِواهما كلُّ منهيٍّ ومَأمُورِ

    Religion and reason grant him no statute

    Other than them both, all forbidden and commanded

  52. والنّفسُ لا تَحْمِلُ الإيمانَ إن حَمَلَتْ

    حُبَّ التماثيلِ أو خَوْفَ النَّواطيرِ

    The soul bears no faith if it harbors

    Love of idols or fear of monsters

  53. الحكمُ للهِ والأقدارُ جاريةٌ

    والموتُ آتٍ ويبقى كلُّ مأثورِ

    Judgment is God's, fate runs its course

    Death comes and all memorized remains

  54. ما أَجْدَرَ النّاسَ باسْتِعظَامِ أَنْفُسِهم

    وأَجْمَلَ الصَّمْتَ بالقوم المهاذيرِ

    How proper for people to revere themselves

    And most beautiful is silence for the rambling people

  55. هل حارب الله إلا كلُّ ذي سَفَهٍ

    أو شاغَبَ الحقَّ إلا كلُّ مأجورِ

    Has God fought other than every fool

    Or contended with truth except every hireling?

  56. لا يَغْلِبِ الحقَّ يَرْدَى في كتائبهِ

    جُنْدُ الدّراهمِ أو جيشُ الدّنانيرِ

    Truth is not overcome though legions attack it

    Of silver coins or armies of gold dinars

  57. إن الأُلى زَلْزَلُوا الدُّنيا بأنْقَرةٍ

    واستجفلوا الناسَ من صاحٍ ومخمورِ

    The exemplars shook the world with a pickaxe

    And abused people, sober and drunk

  58. أَلقُوا على الشّرقِ آياتٍ مُبَيَّنَةً

    بِيضَ الصّحائفِ من نُصْحٍ وتذكيرِ

    Cast clear signs over the East

    The scriptures' advisement and reminder

  59. لم يبعثوا الحربَ حتّى اجْتاحَ عاصِفُها

    مَكْرَ الدُّهاةِ وتدبيرَ المناكيرِ

    They did not unleash war until its storm swept

    The cunning of villains and plotting of evildoers

  60. الحربُ عِنْدَ بَني عُثمانَ مُعجزةٌ

    تُعْيي العُقولَ وتُلغِي كلَّ تدبيرِ

    War to Uthman's sons is a miracle

    Exhausting minds and nullifying every scheme

  61. لولا الذي ابتدعوا في الدّهر من سِيَرٍ

    مَشْهورةِ الذّكرِ أضْحَى غيْر مَشهُورِ

    Were it not for the famous deeds they pioneered in time

    Their mention would be forgotten and unknown

  62. في ذِمَّةِ التُّركِ دُنيا لا تَضيقُ بها

    سُيوفُهم وزَمانٌ غيرُ مَعْسورِ

    The Turks' charge contains a world not confined

    By their swords and unconquered ages

  63. يأتي فيستلُّ من أكفانِها أُمماً

    ضاقت بها سَعَةُ الأجداثِ والدُّورِ

    One comes and pulls out from its shrouds nations

    That the roominess of deep pits and abodes confined

  64. تشكو المشارقُ دُنيا غيرَ صالحةٍ

    مكروهةً وزماناً غيرَ مبرورِ

    The East complains of an unsuitable world

    Detested and an unpleasant time

  65. أظلَّها الفاتِحُ الغازي وشَارَفها

    عَهْدٌ مِن الخيرِ مَيْمونُ التّباشيرِ

    Its conqueror shaded it and it neared

    An auspicious era of good tidings

  66. لا أَخلَفَتْكِ الأمانِي مِن مُوَلهّةٍ

    يبكي لها النّاسُ من حُرٍّ ومقصورِ

    No wishes disappointed you of a patron

    For whom people weep, free and confined
