بَني الآمالِ قَد وَضَحَ اليَقينُ
تَجَلّى العامُ وَالعَصرُ المُبينُ
Clarity of certainty has emerged from hopes
The year and the clear era have appeared
أَطَلَّ عَلى بَني الدُنيا وَليدٌ
أَجَلُّ الحادِثاتِ بِهِ جَنينُ
A newborn for the people of the world has arrived
The greatest event carrying a fetus
بَشيرُ الغَيبِ يُلمَحُ في يَدَيهِ
كِتابٌ لا يَضِلُّ وَلا يَخونُ
The harbinger of the unseen can be glimpsed in his hands
A book that does not stray or betray
تُضيءُ حَقائِقُ الآمالِ فيهِ
وَتَنقَشِعُ الوَساوِسُ وَالظُنونُ
Its truths illuminate hopes
Doubts and suspicions disperse
وَما تَعمى قُلوبُ الناسِ يَوماً
إِذا عَمِيَت عَنِ الأَمرِ العُيونُ
People's hearts are never blinded
When eyes are blinded from the matter
هِلالَ العامِ أَنتَ لِمِصرَ دُنيا
تُعَظِّمُها وَأَنتَ لِمِصرَ دينُ
You are the crescent of the year for Egypt's worldly domain
You aggrandize it, and you are its religious pillar
تُجَدِّدُ مِن رَسولِ اللَهِ ذِكرى
لَها في كُلِّ جانِحَةٍ رَنينُ
You renew the memory of God's Messenger
It reverberates through every inclining dune
أَتى والناسُ في الظُلُماتِ غَرقى
فَفاضَ النورُ وَاِستَوَتِ السَفينُ
He came while people were drowned in darkness
The light poured and the ships were set straight
وَقامَت دَولَةُ الأَخلاقِ تَعلو
وَقامَ العَرشُ وَالتاجُ الثَمينُ
The state of morals rose up towering
The glorious throne and crown stood up
وَأَشرَقَتِ الحَضارَةُ فَاِستَضاءَت
بِها الأَجيالُ أَجمَعُ وَالقُرونُ
Civilization shone radiantly
Illuminating all generations and epochs
تَلوذُ بِمَعقِلٍ لِلعَدلِ عالٍ
تَلوذُ بِهِ المَعاقِلُ وَالحُصونُ
Taking refuge in a stronghold of lofty justice
Fortresses and citadels take refuge in it
نُحِبُّ مُحَمَّداً وَنَصونُ فيهِ
لِعيسى ما يُحِبُّ وَما يَصونُ
We love Muhammad and safeguard in him
What Jesus loves and keeps safe
وَنُكرِمُ قَومَهُ وَنَكونُ مِنهُم
بِحَيثُ يَكونُ ذو الرَحِمِ الضَنينُ
And we honor his people, and are of them
As the compassionate relative would be
تُؤَلِّفُ بَينَنا آمالُ مِصرٍ
وَتَجمَعُنا الحَوادِثُ وَالشُؤونُ
Egypt's hopes unite us
Events and affairs bring us together
تَوَلَّ أَمورَنا يا رَبِّ إِنّا
بِكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَحدَكَ نَستَعينُ
Manage our affairs, O Lord, for we
In You alone, O God, seek aid
وَمَهما نَبغِ مِن شَرَفٍ وَمَجدٍ
فَأَنتَ بِهِ كَفيلٌ أَو ضَمينُ
And whatever glory and honor we gain
You are its guarantor and keeper
سَيَملِكُ أَمرَهُ الشَعبُ المُفَدّى
وَيَرفَعُ ذِكرَهُ البَلَدُ الأَمينُ
The redeemed people will rule their own affairs
And the honest country will elevate its reputation
