1. بَطَلَ الكِنانةِ مَن لها ولأَهْلِها

    يحمِي محارِمَها ويَكشِفُ عَارَها

    The protector of the tribe, for it and its people

    Shielding its sanctities, exposing its disgraces

  2. مَنْ للغِمارِ يخوضُها إن نكّبتْ

    عنها العزائمُ تتَّقِي أخطارَها

    One who plunges into battles when resolves

    Waver from it, avoiding its perils

  3. مَن للسياسةِ يَصطليِ جَمَراتِها

    في حيثُ تَجتنبُ الدُّهاةُ أُوارَها

    One who stirs the embers of politics

    Where the wicked avoid its flames

  4. مَن للمغيرِ يَصُدُّه عن أُمَّةٍ

    عَرَفَتْكَ في جِدِّ الوغَى بَتَّارَها

    One who repels invaders from a nation

    Known in fierce strife for its piercing blades

  5. وَدّعتنا والحادثاتُ تَرُوعُنا

    وتُطيلُ من حول الحِمَى تَهدارَها

    It bid us farewell as calamities terrified us

    Prolonging tumult around the sanctuary

  6. هَوَّنْتَ من وَجدِ النُّفوسِ بِقَولةٍ

    رَدّتْ عليها بالعَشِيِّ قَرارَها

    You eased the anguish in souls with assurance

    Restoring their calm in the evening

  7. أنت المؤمّلُ للبلادِ إذا انْتَحتْ

    هُوجُ الخُطوبِ فَزلزلتْ أقطارَها

    You are the hoped for the country when passions

    Of strife erupt, shaking its regions

  8. وإذا تُنوزِعَتِ المواقُف في غدٍ

    أوفيتَ تأخذُ باليَديْنِ كِبارَها

    And when positions clash someday

    You remain, taking both hands its elders

  9. المجدُ والخطرُ العظيمُ لأُمَّةٍ

    وَعَتِ الأُمورَ فَعظَّمتْ أحرارَها

    Glory and great danger for a nation

    Have burdened affairs, so its freemen revered

  10. حَسْبُ الممالكِ أن تُعِزَّ حُماتَها

    وتُجِلَّ في الهِمَمِ العُلىَ أنصارَها

    It's enough for kingdoms to honor protectors

    And exalt in resolve their top supporters
