يا مُظهِراً شَكوى عَلى صَرمِهِ

مُقَبِّحاً خُلقي لَدى الناسِ

O you who voice complaints about my estrangement,

While making my character appear foul before the people,

أَفسَدتَ قَلبي بَعدَ إِصلاحِهِ

فَعادَ بِالصَرمِ مِنَ الراسِ

You have corrupted my heart after it was mended,

So it returned to severing ties from the very start.
