1. وَذاتِ خَدٍّ مُوَرَّد

    فَتّانَةِ المُتَجَرَّد

    And she of the rose-tinted cheek,

    Captivating when stripped bare,

  2. تَأَمَّلَ الناسُ فيها

    مَحاسِناً لَيسَ تَنفَد

    People gazed upon her,

    Finding charms that never end.

  3. الحُسنُ في كُلِّ جُزءٍ

    مِنها مُعادٌ مُرَدَّد

    Beauty in every part

    Of her is echoed and repeated,

  4. فَبَعضُهُ في اِنتِهاءٍ

    وَبَعضُهُ يَتَوَلَّد

    Some of it reaching its zenith,

    And some of it springing forth anew.

  5. وَكُلَّما عُدتَ فيهِ

    يَكونُ بِالعَودِ أَحمَد

    And whenever you return to behold it,

    The return proves even more praiseworthy.

  6. فَاِشرَب عَلى وَجهِ بَدرٍ

    رَيّانَ غَيرَ مُعَربِد

    So drink to the face of a full moon,

    Lush and serene, not raucous in drink.
