Othman, O most generous of men
O Uthman, most generous of all creation,
Of Ma'add and Yaman stock
From the lineage of Ma'add to the tribes of Yemen.
Your hands never amassed wealth
Your palms have never hoarded gathered wealth,
Nor were you ever miserly
While a destitute soul remained in any land.
Wealth fades away over nights
For wealth vanishes with the passing of nights,
But your generosity is not fleeting
Yet the bounty of your hands is imperishable.
Your father founded glories
His father raised for him the summits of glory,
And expended therein all he owned
And he surpassed, in that construction, every builder.
