When I visit Muhammad, as we meet
I visit Muhammad, and the moment we meet,
The hearts converse within the chests
The hidden thoughts speak from within our chests,
So I return, having caused him no blame
I return—neither blaming him, nor he me,
Nor he caused me blame
For the spirit is well-pleased with the spirit,
Matters, none but us two know
Matters that are known to none but us,
Its charm dazzles the keenest sight
Whose subtlety baffles the sight of the seer.
