1. فَديتُكَ جِسمي كانَ أَحمَلَ لِلشَكوى

    وَكانَ عَلَيها مِنكَ يا سَيِّدي أَقوى

    May I be your ransom; my body was more fit to bear the suffering,

    And was, O my master, stronger against it than you.

  2. فَدَيتُكَ لَم أَنصِفكَ إِذ أَنتَ لابِسٌ

    شِعاراً مِنَ الحُمّى وَلَم أَلبِسِ الحُمّى

    May I be your ransom; I have not treated you fairly, for while you are clad

    In a garment of fever, I myself am not clothed in fever.

  3. فَدَيتُكَ لَو أَنَّ الَّذي بِكَ يُفتَدى

    بِدُنيايَ لَم أَذخَركَ شَيئاً مِنَ الدُنيا

    May I be your ransom; if that which afflicts you could be ransomed

    By my own world, I would not withhold a single thing of the world from you.
