إشربِ الراحَ ودعني

من ثنيّاتِ الطريقِ

Drink the wine and spare me

The winding turns of the path,

وأعصِ من لامكَ فيها

من نصيحٍ أو شفيق

And disobey whoever censures you for it,

Whether counselor or compassionate friend,

فعلى اللَهِ اتّكالي

فذروني وفسوقي

For upon God is my reliance,

So leave me alone with my debauchery.
