I am a head in straying
I am a chieftain in the ways of error,
I am a refuge for every stray
The refuge for every wayward soul.
I yearn not for any cheek
I incline not toward the tender maid,
I am pouring towards the gazelle
But am enamored with the young gazelle.
The sleepless and the crazed
The renegades and the libertines
Have all become my children
Have all become my dependents.
God knows that I
God knows well that I
Do not pay my capital
Do not preserve my capital.
Look at who is on my right
Look ye who sits at my right hand,
And look at who is on my left
And look ye who sits at my left.
