Leave the ruins, pay them no heed
Leave the ruins be, pay them no heed,
They are but vestiges of misery
For they are near to every wretchedness.
Drink wine though forbidden it may be
And drink the wine, in defiance of its ban,
For this world is ephemeral, soon to recede
For your world is but a fleeting abode.
With herb I was once graced, a man said to me
Of a vintage so bright, that one who saw it said:
The sun has snared for us here in the wild
"The sun has been captured for us in a cup."
