أَلا تَرى ما أُعطِيَ الأَمينُ

أُعطِيَ ما لَم تَرَهُ العُيونُ

Do you not see what has been bestowed upon Al-Amin?

He was given that which eyes have never seen,

وَلَم تَكُن تَبلُغُهُ الظُنونُ

اللَيثُ وَالعُقابُ وَالدُلفينُ

And that which imagination could never reach:

The Lion, the Eagle, and the Dolphin.

وَلِيُّ عَهدٍ ما لَهُ قَرينُ

وَلا لَهُ شِبهٌ وَلا خَدينُ

A Crown Prince who possesses no peer,

Who has no likeness and no equal companion.

أَستَغفِرُ اللَهَ بَلى هارونُ

يا خَيرَ مَن كانَ وَمَن يَكونُ

I ask God's forgiveness—nay, there is Harun!

O best of those who were and those who shall be,

إِلّا النَبِيُّ الطاهِرُ المَيمونُ

ذَلَّت بِكَ الدُنيا وَعَزَّ الدينُ

Save for the Prophet, the pure, the blessed one;

Through you the world is humbled, and the Faith exalted.
