The full moon of the dark night has boarded the Dolphin,
Plunging into the waters, braving the deep currents,
So the Tigris shone brilliantly from his light,
And both riverbanks dawned bright and resplendent.
My eye has never beheld a vessel like it,
Most magnificent whether sailing straight or turning aside.
When its oars urge it to hasten,
It gallops across the water or ambles with grace.
God has exclusively favored Al-Amin with it—he who
Has risen, crowned with the diadem of sovereignty.
