The world wanders in pride because of you, and the pulpits exult,
And the royal chambers radiate light whenever they come into view.
O Trustee of God, and the King towards whom,
Whenever he appears, the great ones crawl in submission.
You donned the cloak of glory while yet in the loins of Adam,
For all glories find their ultimate end only in you.
To God belongs a full moon in the sky, illuminated,
And you are for us a full moon upon the earth, radiant.
