I directed my passion towards a moon
I have turned my passion toward a moon,
That does not contend with eyes through looking
Who does not challenge eyes with a bold gaze;
When you contemplate it, you are awed
If you contemplate him, it burdens you
By the admission that it is human
To acknowledge that he is of human kind.
Then denial returns, knowing
Then your denial turns to understanding
From you, when you compare it to forms
Once you compare him to mere images.
The field of hearts is lawful to it
The courtyard of the hearts is yielded to him,
It takes from them the choicest of fruits
He takes from them the most delicious fruit.
