1. الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ العَلِيِّ

    وَمَن لَهُ تَزكو المَحامِد

    Praise be to God, the Most High,

    To Whom all laudable praises belong.

  2. أَيَسُبُّني رَجُلٌ عَلَي

    هِ مِنَ الخِزانَةِ أَلفُ شاهِد

    Does a man insult me, against whom

    There are a thousand witnesses from the registry?

  3. هَذا أَبو الهِندِيِّ في

    هِ مَشابِهٌ مِن غَيرِ واحِد

    This is Abu al-Hindi, in whom

    Are resemblances derived from more than one man.

  4. ماذا أَقولُ لِمَن لَهُ

    في كُلِّ عُضوٍ مِنهُ والِد

    What shall I say to one who has,

    In every limb of his body, a father?
