God is the Master of my dinars and my Master
God is the Master of Dananeer, and my Master too,
With His eyes my morning in which I rise and my evening
Under His watchful eye are my mornings and evenings spent in her thrall.
I suffered from love of Her two fires, one
I have burned with two fires from her love: one
Between my ribs and another between my intestines
Raging between my ribs, and another deep within my vitals.
And I've burnt my tongue from explaining with it
I have guarded my tongue from revealing a single word,
So nothing expresses me but my gestures
So that nothing speaks for me now except my silent signs.
Oh woe to my family! I've wasted away before their eyes
Alas for my kin! I waste away before their very eyes,
On the mattress and they don't know what my illness is
Upon my bed, while they know not what my ailment is.
If your asceticism in the world were like your asceticism in
If your renunciation of the world matched your renunciation of
Uniting with me I would undoubtedly walk on water
My embrace, you would surely walk upon the water.
