The full moon told of your beauty
The full moon has mimicked your splendor,
And he who saw you saw it too
So whoever saw you has seen it too.
And he compared you in beauty
It boasted of its beauty only when
When comparing beauty to you
It came to rival you in grace.
O angry one, be gentle
O angry one, be gentle now,
For my soul is ransomed for you
May my own soul be your ransom.
O you who resemble the full moon in beauty
O likeness of the full moon in fairness,
My patience for passion of you grows slim
My patience for your love has worn thin.
