قامَ الأَمينُ بِأَمرِ اللَهِ في البَشَرِ

وَاِستَقبَلَ المُلكَ في مُستَقبَلِ الثَمَرِ

The Trustworthy One acted by God's command among mankind

Al-Amin has risen with God’s command among mankind,

And assumed sovereignty at the time of fruition

And welcomed the kingdom in the season of ripening fruit,

فَالطَيرُ تُخبِرُنا وَالطَيرُ صادِقَةٌ

عَن طيبِ عَيشٍ وَعَن طولٍ مِنَ العُمُرِ

The birds inform us, and the birds are truthful

The birds bring us tidings—and the birds speak the truth—

Of good living and length of life

Of a joyous existence and a long span of life,

فَيَملِكُ الأَرضَ أَقصى ما تَعِدُّ يَدٌ

حَتّى يَدِبَّ كَليلَ الصَوتِ وَالنَظَرِ

He will reign over the earth to the furthest extent of the hand

He shall possess the earth to the furthest limits a hand can count,

Until the voice and sight of the critic wane

Until he walks with age, faint of voice and dim of sight,

قَد زَيَّنَ اللَهُ دُنيانا وَحَسَّنَها

بِاِبنِ الشَفيعِ إِلى الرَحمَنِ في المَطَرِ

God has adorned our world and beautified it

God has adorned our world and made it fair,

Through the son of the Intercessor to the Merciful in rainfall

Through the son of the Intercessor with the Merciful for rain,

وَاِزدادَتِ الأَرضُ لَمّا ساسَها سَعَةً

حَتّى تَضاعَفَ نورُ الشَمسِ وَالقَمَرِ

And the earth expanded when he governed it

And the earth increased in vastness when he governed it,

Until the light of sun and moon multiplied

Until the light of the sun and the moon was redoubled.
